Metallic Epoxy Floors Louisville KY

Metallic epoxy floors

Metallic epoxy uses reflective pigments suspended in clear resin. As the resin moves during installation the pigment moves with it, producing a depth and movement that looks closer to polished stone than to paint. No two floors come out the same, which is the point.

Where it fits

Finished basements, showroom garages, retail floors, and interior living spaces. It is a design finish rather than a utility one, so it makes more sense somewhere people spend time than in a workshop.

Installation is the whole story

Metallic is the least forgiving system in this category. The pigment work happens in a narrow window and cannot be corrected once it sets. Ask to see photos of floors the contractor personally installed, not manufacturer samples.

Cost

Generally the most expensive residential option, typically running well above a standard flake system for the same square footage. The pricing reflects labor and skill, not material.
